The SEC's free online database where U.S. public companies file required disclosures.

What is EDGAR?

EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval) is the SEC's online filing system and publicly accessible database through which U.S. public companies, investment funds, and other regulated entities submit required financial disclosures. Launched in 1996, EDGAR provides free public access to millions of filings including annual reports (10-K), quarterly reports (10-Q), current reports (8-K), proxy statements (DEF 14A), registration statements (S-1), and insider trading disclosures (Forms 3, 4, and 5). EDGAR enables investors, analysts, journalists, and researchers to access primary-source financial data directly from issuers without intermediaries, supporting the SEC's mission of market transparency and investor protection.

All filings are searchable, downloadable, and free of charge.
